Terms of Service

1. Service Description

LoftNow provides an online loft conversion feasibility assessment tool. The service generates indicative reports based on information you provide, including property dimensions, postcode, and conversion type. Reports include technical drawings, Permitted Development assessments, and building regulation guidance.

2. Indicative Assessment Only

All reports generated by LoftNow are indicative assessments only. They do not constitute professional architectural, structural, surveying, or legal advice. You must engage qualified professionals before commencing any construction work. Structural calculations shown are placeholder values and must be independently verified by a chartered structural engineer.

3. Payment & Report Fee Credit

Full reports are available for a one-time fee of £29 (inclusive of VAT where applicable). Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

If you subsequently instruct us to carry out your full structural design package, the £29 report fee is credited in full against that package. The credit applies once per report, is not transferable, and has no cash value if you do not instruct the structural design package.

4. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the service, reports are non-refundable once generated. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing your report, please contact us and we will resolve it or issue a refund at our discretion.

5. Data Accuracy

Planning constraint data (conservation areas, AONB, Article 4 directions) is sourced from publicly available government databases (planning.data.gov.uk) and may not reflect the most current designations. Always confirm with your local planning authority. We do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of this data.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LoftNow shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from your use of the service or reliance on any report generated. This includes, without limitation, any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss arising from construction decisions made based on our reports.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, code, and reports generated by LoftNow are protected by copyright. You may use your purchased report for personal and professional reference. You may share it with your architect, builder, structural engineer, and local authority as needed. You may not resell or redistribute reports.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
